My First Lead Role

I went into this Wooster Summer Theater play audition with higher hopes. I was only in Sixth Grade, but wanted to get a better part then I did in Seussical. I practiced "One Song Glory" from Rent during the school year, so I used that as my audition song. This time around I got the lead role. I was Daddy Warbucks. I couldn't wait for the performance.

As a lead, I got a lot more attention. The director talked to me more. Every decision that I made was directed as either the best or worst idea. A lot of responsibility comes with getting a lead role. I was very happy to be this character and make it my own. I enjoyed being part of this production of Annie, Jr. Everyone worked really hard to put in the best performance possible.
